Designing an enhanced user experience in connecting the urban and digital share economies.

The Sharable City analyses how public spaces in urban contexts can be designed to adopt the principals of the share economy in order to fulfil the objectives of new urbanism. The share economy is a viable solution to rapid population growth as it allows for liveable, compact and cohesive densification. At the core of my proposal is an analysis of how both digital  and physical share economies can establish a cohesive interface through the application sharesquare. The physical share economy is comprised of multi-use and commercial infrastructure that is accessible to the public. The digital share economy is a virtual city comprising a range of online sharing platforms.
